On display in Fergus, Ontario for Elora Sculpture Project 2023 (June - October)
This piece is inspired by folklore about rock formations, taking cues from the form of adderstones or hagstones (and many other names) which have naturally occurring holes in them. Using an organic form and windows of negative and false space, the piece considers the super/natural qualities humans project onto natural phenomena. It can be interpreted as a portal through which we can see the spiritual realm of nature and reflect on ideas and culture of animism.
